Kate Nichols, President
Over 14 years experience. Kate officially began working at IMS in 1998 as an assistant to media buyers. Prior to that she worked at Impressions since she was 15 years old doing intern work as an administrative assistant to the President and agency founder, Suzanne Thaler. She left the agency at the turn of 2000 for several years to pursue her love of visual arts, launching a retail store specializing in fine art supplies with two locations in Greenville that provided art instruction and also launched an international e-commerce website. Kate returned to Impressions in 2003 as Director of Business Development and was quickly promoted to Vice President. She has been involved in all aspects of the business with a particular focus on planning and buying internet media and has been instrumental in the growth and success of IMS. Kate was promoted to President on January 1, 2009. Kate is the primary planner and buyer for all outdoor, print and online media. She also heads all new business research and pitches, including planning and presenting.

Suzy Roberts, Media Director
Over 34 years experience. Suzy has 34 years of broadcast experience and has spent time on both sides of the media buying and selling spectrum. She began her career at WCCB-TV in Charlotte and then migrated to the media buying side as Broadcast Supervisor for PCA/K-Mart Portraits at Image Advertising. After 12 years she switched again to television sales as General Manager of Seltel, Inc. She joined IMS in 1997 and has steadily moved to her current position, Media Director. Suzy oversees all broadcast planning, cost estimating, negotiating and purchasing, approving promotions and value added. She also does any posting and negotiating credits for incorrectly run schedules and manages all broadcast buyers and assistants on the account. As Media Director Suzy is also involved in and oversees the planning and purchasing of all other media.

Nina Gossett, Accounting Manager
Nina has 18 years experience in accounting. She joined Impressions in 2000 as an accounting clerk. In 2002 she was promoted to Accounting Manager, responsible for all billing, accounts payable, and all other accounting functions. She also handles most HR functions. Nina is the primary force behind I-watch, our stringent auditing process mentioned on the auditing page. Nina and Roi constantly watch over your ROI.

Judy McCarson, Media Coordinator
Judy came to Impressions Media from bounce agency in 2012. Judy has 38 years experience in media buying, trafficking and coordinating. Judy has worked with many types of clients, including Bi-Lo Supermarkets, SC Parks Recreation and Tourism, Ingles Supermarkets, Calloway Gardens, Daniel Island, Anmed Health, Carolina First, First Citizens Bank. Her primary responsibilities include overseeing all invoice reconciliation for broadcast,  print online and outdoor, auditing positioning in print publications and analyzing proof of performance, reconciling all media schedules for accuracy, then providing post invoice analysis to clients. Judy also maintains all the media schedules during flight by maintaining schedule quality and creating accountability with all vendors.
 

Joe Thaler, CEO
Joe’s 44 years in advertising began with his formative years at Federated and May Company department stores in Columbus, Ohio and St. Louis, Missouri, respectively. He then formed and directed an in-house agency for the May Stores Shopping Centers. Joe worked with large ad agencies as Art Director/Associate Creative Director on national brands while with Gardner Advertising in St. Louis and Henderson Advertising in Greenville, South Carolina from 1976 through 1990. He later become owner of creative boutique, Joe, The Creative Guy, co-creator/owner of GSA Business, a bi-weekly upstate business journal, and VP of Impressions Media Services, simultaneously from 1990 through 2005. After serving as President for 3 years, Joe became CEO of Impressions Media Services on January 1, 2009 when Kate Nichols was promoted to President.
